Warehouse Associate Job Description:

A Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the warehouse. They handle the receiving, storage, inventory, and distribution of goods while maintaining safety and accuracy in all processes. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving & Unloading:
    • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
    • Verify packing slips, invoices, and purchase orders.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
    • Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with inventory audits.
    • Report discrepancies, damages, or shortages to supervisors.
  • Order Fulfillment:
    • Pick, pack, and prepare orders according to company standards.
    • Ensure accuracy of items, quantities, and labeling before shipment.
    • Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment safely as required.
  • Shipping & Distribution:
    • Load trucks with outgoing shipments, ensuring products are secured.
    • Coordinate with carriers and drivers for timely pickups and deliveries.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Follow all warehouse safety guidelines and company procedures.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace.
    • Adhere to OSHA and company regulations.
  • General Support:
    • Assist team members with warehouse tasks as needed.
    • Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous warehouse, logistics, or shipping/receiving experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Familiarity with warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of inventory systems.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
